BLACK DIAMOND COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY (BDCET) The orange colour emblem of Black Diamond College of Engineering and Technology (BDCET) features the motifs of an open book, a mortarboard hat, a satellite dish antenna, a computer, an electrical and an electrical transmission tower ensconced by a partial gearwheel and a partial circle. The name of the college circumscribes the gearwheel. On a grey banner, placed at the bottom the initials of the college ‘BDCET’ is inscribed. The name of the place of the college is written at the bottom. The gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; and the mortarboard hat or Oxford hat denotes educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; the mortarboard and the other motifs refer to the different subject disciplines of engineering.
