Below the shield, on a banner, the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘आप्नुहि श्रेयांसमति सर्व काम’ (Sukta 11, Kand 2, Atharva Veda) translating to ‘Surpass Those of Equal Strength and Advance to A Higher Position’. At the bottom, the tagline of the college ‘Discipline & Obedience’ is written. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the book is a classic symbol of knowledge, wisdom and the institute's dedication to learning; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the star signifies excellence and high aspirations; the laurels represent honour and academic achievement; and the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines of science, engineering and technology.
