SHRI VAISHNAV INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCE (SVVV) The emblem of Shri Vaishnav Institute of Technology and Science (SVVV) features a glowing flames of fire in yellow, orange, red and blue from a traditional lamp surmounted by the name of the university in English and Devanagari. Below this, the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya, 1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead Me to Light’ is written. The flames of fire traditionally symbolise enlightenment, knowledge and pure intellect; and the lamp symbolises the foundation of a stable, supportive educational ecosystem that holds and nurtures the flame of learning.
