ORISSA SCHOOL OF MINING ENGINEERING (OSME) The emblem of Orissa School of Mining Engineering (OSME) features an illustration of the equipment used in mines ensconced by a yellow border inscribed with the name of the college. An image of the Wheel of Konark Sun Temple is placed on the border at the bottom. A yellow banner placed at the bottom bears the motto of the college ‘Wisdom, Courage & Confidence’. The Ashoka’s Lion Capital is placed atop the seal. The Wheel of Konark refers to the rich heritage and culture of the State of Odisha.
