ORIENTAL INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, BHOPAL (OIST BHOPAL) The emblem of Oriental Institute of Science and Technology, Bhopal (OIST Bhopal) features a blue gearwheel housing a red traditional lamp ensconced by a yellow circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. The name and place of the college are written with red an black sans serif capitals on the right. The gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; and the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.
