RANCHI (MAC RANCHI) |
The emblem of Metas Adventist College (Seventh-Day Adventist Hospital), Ranchi (MAC Ranchi) in the shades of brown features a circle housing the motifs of a cross placed on a pair of wings, a crown, an open book, a pair of laurels and its motto in latin ‘Mens Spiritus Corpus’ translates to ‘Spirit Mind Body’. The circle is ensconced by a border inscribed with the name of the college and seven stars. The tagline of the college ‘Transforming People’ is inscribed on a banner placed below the seal. The logo represents a combination of traditional Christian imagery and the institution's core educational philosophy. The cross with wings mirrors the upward momentum common in Seventh-day Adventist symbols, pointing toward Christ's resurrection and the Second Coming; the crown traditionally symbolises the 'Crown of Life’ awarded to the faithful and celebrates the sovereignty and future victory of Christ's return; the book of Bible depicted as fully open indicates total acceptance of God's Word as the definitive standard for living and learning; the laurels represent victory, achievement, high character standard, and the pursuing of academic excellence; and the seven stars point directly to the ‘Seventh-day’ Sabbath (rest and completeness) and the completion of creation.
