SAGAR INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (SISTEC) The emblem of Sagar Institute of Science and Technology (SISTec) features a blue shield inscribed with the acronym of the college ‘SISTec’ a traditional lamp written on with the Sanskrit letter ‘श्री ’, an open book and a banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘विद्या ददाति विनयम्’ (Narayan Pandit, 6, Hitopadesha) meaning ‘Education Makes one Humble’. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the book denotes knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the letter word symbolises prosperity, auspiciousness and divine grace; the colour blue embodies trust, depth, stability, and professionalism; and the gold or yellow signifies success, energy, intellectual illumination and high values.
