SAHIBGANJ COLLEGE, SAHIBGANJ The emblem of Sahibganj College, Sahibganj features a circular panel of lotus petals supporting a mountain range with rising sun surmounted by the motto of the college in Sanskrit from Kathopanishad ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’, (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’. The pictorial is ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college in Devanagari and English. The mountain range and the sun refer to the local landscape; the lotus floral pattern represents purity, growth and the blossoming of a student's potential through learning.
