U.S.P. COLLEGE OF EDUCATION (USPCE) The emblem of the U.S.P. College of Education (USPCE) features a shield crested with a tiara, housing the motifs of an open book, a torch with flame and a mortarboard hat. The name of the college circumscribes the shield and a yellow banner inscribed with the motto of the college supports it. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the book refers to education, learning and wisdom; the torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the mortarboard hat or Oxford hat denotes educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; and the tiara symbolises high rank, power, and wealth.
