The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the book denotes knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the globe denotes education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; the necktie symbolises professionalism, authority, confidence, and respect; the computer, and the antenna and the tower refer to science, engineering and technology.
