The gearwheel houses the image of Triveni Barrage on the Gandak River at Valmiki Nagar with the Someshwar Hills forming the backdrop and in the foreground center is the iconic Ashoka Pillar, specifically representing the Lauriya Nandangarh pillar located in West Champaran. Below the gearwheel, the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘ऋते ज्ञानात् न मुक्तिः’ (Kathopanishad) meaning ‘Without Knowledge, Liberation is Not Possible’ is inscribed. The gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure.
