GOVERNMENT WOMEN'S POLYTECHNIC, BOKARO (GWP BOKARO) The emblem of Government Women's Polytechnic, Bokaro (GWP Bokaro) features a blue circular border inscribed with the name and motto of the college in Devanagari. The motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्या नाम नरस्य कीर्तिरतुला’ (Shloka 20, Nitishatakam, Bhartṛhari), which translates to ‘Knowledge is Man’s Incomparable Adornment’. The circle houses the motifs of a pair of laurels, the foundation year of the college, an electrical transmission tower, lightning arcs, a computer, a mother board and circuits, factory chimneys, gears, structural frames and a head wearing an industrial safety helmet. The laurels signify honour, growth, academic achievement and victory; and the motifs in the circle represent various fields of technical expertise taught at the institution.
