GOVERNMENT ENGINEERING COLLEGE, SHEIKHPURA (GEC SHEIKHPURA) The emblem of Government Engineering College, Sheikhpura (GEC Sheikhpura) features  the motif of Shri Vishnu Temple of Sheikpura atop the hill symbolising the cultural backdrop and spiritual grounding of the region. The hill and the water represents the local geographical landscape of Sheikhpura and Bihar. The open book inscribed with the symbols of a circuit board, a pair of gear wheels, a diagram of an atom, a transmission tower, and a windmill representing the subject disciplines of science, engineering and technology. Below the book, the year of establishment of the college is written. The ensconcing brown circular border is inscribed with the name and place of the college and its motto in Sanskrit ‘विज्ञानं विधिं विवृणुते’ meaning ‘Science reveals the Laws’. The seal is placed on a blues flower spread.
