The emblem of Ganesh Lal Agrawal College, Daltonganj (GLAC Daltonganj) features an open book placed on the backdrop of a blooming palash tree (Butea monosperma), known as the Flame of the Forest, in full bloom in vibrant orange, supporting a globe and a traditional lamp. These are ensconced by a blue circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college in Devanagari. The motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘सरस्वती श्रुति महती न हीयताम्’ (Abhigyan Shakuntalam, Mahakavi Kalidasa) meaning ‘"May the Great Shruti (Scholarship) of Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge, Arts and Literature, Never Diminish’ is inscribed on a banner placed at the bottom. The palash tree is the official tree of the State of Jharkhand; the book represents the acquisition of ‘Right Knowledge’ and quality education offered by the institution; the lamp symbolises enlightenment, the removal of ignorance and the illumination of the mind and soul; and the globe signifies the global reach of knowledge and the college's mission to prepare students for a worldwide.
