ST. JOSEPH COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, APPICODE (SJCE APPICODE) The emblem of St. Joseph College of Education, Appicode (SJCE Appicode) features a yellow ochre open  book inscribed with a monogram of ‘SJ’, a cross and a quill pen. The book symbolises e; the cross is the primary symbol of Christianity, representing the crucifixion of education, learning, knowledge and wisdom; Jesus Christ, his victory over sin and death, and his ultimate sacrifice for humanity; and the quill pen symbolizes intellect, freedom of expression and the power of the written word.
