KALAHANDI INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT & TECHNOLOGY (KIMT) The emblem of Kalahandi institute of management & technology (KIMT) is a shield inscribed with the motifs of a mortarboard hat, a star, a pair of laurels, and a pair of connected gears. A banner inscribed with the initials of the college is placed on the shield. The year of establishment of the college is inscribed at the bottom of the shield. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; the mortarboard hat or Oxford hat denotes educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; the star universally represents guidance, hope, excellence, and achievement. ; and the gearwheels denote engineering and technology.
