TIRUNELVELI DAKASHINA MARA NADAR SANGAM COLLEGE (TDMNS COLLEGE)  The emblem of Tirunelveli Dakashina Mara Nadar Sangam College (TDMNS College) features a yellow and red shield inscribed with the motifs of a traditional lamp, a lotus, an open book and a star. The name and place of the college surmounts the shield. A white banner inscribed with the motto of the college ‘To Foster the Divine in the Human’ is on the shield at the bottom. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the star represents perfect harmony among all things in life, with its points providing insight into how we can strive towards achieving this goal; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the book refers to education, learning and wisdom; and the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.
