LAW COLLEGE DHANBAD (LC DHANBAD) The emblem of Law College Dhanbad (LC Dhanbad) features the motifs of blind folded Lady Justice (Justitia), a two pan beam balance, a sword, a pen and a book. The Justitia is surmounted by the motto of the college ‘Justice Liberty Equality Fraternity’ and ensconced by a black circular border inscribed with the name and year of establishment of the college. The Lady Justice is a traditional symbol of the legal profession symbolising  impartiality, indicating that justice should be administered without bias regarding wealth, power or status; the scales are the scales of justice representing fairness, balance and impartiality in the legal process; the sword symbolises the authority and power of the law to enforce judgments and punish wrongdoing; the pen symbolises the power of legal writing, scholarship and the drafting of laws; and the book represents the Constitution of India or a law library, signifying that legal practice is rooted in record...
