These are ensconced by a sunburst like circular border inscribed with the name of the college and its year of establishment. The lotus symbolises purity, enlightenment and resilience. The lamp is a traditional symbol of the light of learning that dispels the darkness of ignorance. the sunburst with jagged, circular border represents a sun, symbolising the source of enlightenment and the widening of the mind and spirit.
