RANCHI WOMEN'S COLLEGE, RANCHI (RWC RANCHI) The red colour emblem of Ranchi Women's College, Ranchi (RWC Ranchi) features a traditional lamp placed within a decorative circular border representing unity, continuity and the holistic nature of learning. The repetitive decorative patterns are often stylistic and represent structured growth. The lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity. The name of the college its motto in Sanskrit  ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead Me to Light’ is inscribed on the circular border.
