TAMILAVEL UMAMAHESWARANAR KARANTHAI ARTS COLLEGE (TUK ARTS COLLEGE) The emblem of Tamilavel Umamaheswaranar Karanthai Arts College (TUK Arts College) features a scenery with hills, water with lotus, trees, blue sky and sun in an oval with orange outline. A pair of lotus laurels ensconces the picture. The name of the managing body in Tamil ‘கரந்தைத் தமிழ்ச் சங்கம்’ is inscribed on a blue banner atop the seal. Below the seal, on a blue banner, the motto of the college ‘தொண்டு தமிழ் முன்னேற்றம்’ meaning ‘Philonthrophy Tamil Advancement’ is inscribed. The scenery symbolises new day, new bloom, nature and broad minds; and the lotus laurels denote the college being a place of intellectual and cultural nourishment.
