VIVEKANANDA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, BHUBANESWAR (VIT BHUBANESWAR) The shield shaped emblem of Vivekananda Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar (VIT Bhubaneswar) houses a portrait of Swami Vivekananda, the motifs of a dish antenna, a globe, a glowing sun, a set of gear wheels, an electronic circuit, a traditional and a landscape with highrise buildings. The shield is supported by a pair of laurels and the banner the shield is inscribed with the motto ‘Education Manifests Perfection’. Swami Vivekananda symbolises a blend of profound spiritual wisdom, renunciation, and dynamic strength; the shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; and the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines of engineering.
