SURYA COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, LOGATE, KATHUA (SCE KATHUA) The emblem of Surya College of Education, Logate, Kathua (SCE Kathua) features a yellow circle housing the motifs of a stylised blazing sun with the motifs of ‘ॐ’, swastika, a cross and a crescent with a star and an open book. The circle is ensconced by a red circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. Below the seal, on a red banner, the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘सत्यमेव जयते’, which translates to’Truth Alone Triumphs’ is inscribed. The blazing sun symbolises enlightenment, the eradication of ignorance, and the warmth of knowledge; the book is a universal educational symbol denoting continuous learning, literacy, academic excellence and the structured acquisition of knowledge; the motifs within the sun refer to equality of all the religions, spirituality, auspiciousness, righteousness and high moral values.
