JAWAHARLAL NEHRU GOVERNMENT ENGINEERING COLLEGE, SUNDERNAGAR (JNEGC) The blue colour emblem of Jawaharlal Nehru Government Engineering College, Sundernagar (JNEGC) features orbital paths of an atom and a gearwheel surmounted by the name of the college in Devanagari and English with a pair of a spanner and a hammer at each end and supported by the name of the place of the college. These are ensconced by a sunburst frame or by a sharp, geometric multi-pointed star pattern and a blue circular outline. The motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘उद्योगः सर्वार्थ साधकम्’, which translates to ‘Diligence (or Hard Work) Fulfills All Purposes’. The paths of orbiting an atom resulting in  interlocking ellipses forming a flower-like or planetary pattern represent an atom's electron orbits. This signifies the fundamental sciences—physics, chemistry and research—which form the bedrock of all advanced engineering fields.
