GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGE, RAJOURI (GMC RAJOURI) The circular emblem of Government Medical College, Rajouri (GMC Rajouri) features a circle housing the motifs of the Staff of Caduceus with a pair of wings and entwined serpents, the National Flag and the Rajouri Fort (Dhanidhar Fort). These are ensconced by a blue circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. The Staff of Caduceus is a highly recognised symbol in modern healthcare and nursing education, historically associated with communication, balance and the facilitation of healing and it serves as an insignia for medical branches and nursing institutions across the globe. The flag refers to the nationalistic orientation of the college; and the fort refers to the local history and heritage. The book symbolises knowledge, learning and academic excellence.
