GOVERNMENT COLLEGE BHARMOUR (GC BHARMOUR) The emblem of Government College Bharmour (GC Bharmour) features a circle with the image of the famous shikhara of Manimahesh Temple, Chaurasi with scene of snow-clad deodar tees housing the motifs of an open book and a ‘trishul’ or trident. The circle is ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college in Devanagari and English and the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञानम् परमम् ध्येयम्’ (Taittiriya Upanishad ), which translates to ‘Knowledge is the Ultimate Goal’. The shikhara of Manimahesh Temple is the tallest shrine within the historic Chaurasi Temple Complex built around the seventh century features the classic Valabhi-Shikhara architectural style and this complex is the spiritual heart of Bharmour.
