The oval is ensconced by a border inscribed with the name and place of the college. A yellow banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘सा विद्या या विमुक्तये’ (Rishi Parāśara, 1,19.41, Viṣṇu Purāṇa), which translates to  ‘Knowledge is the One That Liberates’ is placed below the oval seal. The motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘विद्या ददाति विनयम्’ (Narayan Pandit, 6, Hitopadesha), which translates to ‘Education Makes one Humble’ is inscribed on a banner placed below the seal.
