GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE, BISHNAH (GDC BISHNAH) The emblem of Government Degree College, Bishnah (GDC Bishnah) features a shield housing the motifs of an open book, a rising sun, a flaming torch and a pink lotus. The shield is surmounted by the name of the college and the motto of the college ‘Nurturing Passion for Knowledge’ and the year of establishment of the college. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the book denotes knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity;  the flaming torch is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; and the lotus  purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty.
