NEW MILLENNIUM NATIONAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, SAMBA (NMNCE SAMBA) The emblem of New Millennium National College of Education, Samba (NMNCE Samba) features a desktop computer supporting an open book and a rising sun and surmounted by a banner inscribed with the motto ‘Light to Enlighten’. These are ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. The motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad), which translates ‘From Darkness Lead Me to Light’is inscribed on a banner placed below the seal. The computer refers to science and technology; the book signifies knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; and the sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity.
