GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE, KUNJWANI (GDC KUNJWANI) The emblem of Government Degree College, Kunjwani (GDC Kunjwani) features a circle with blue outline housing the motifs of an abstract orange mountain range with trees and blue sky, an open book and a lighted candle and the tagline of the college ‘Character is Supreme’. The circle is surmounted by the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञान प्रसारो व्रतम्’, ‘From Darkness to Light’ and in Urdu ‘اندھیرے سے روشنی کی طرف’ and supported by a pair of laurels. The name of the place of the college is written on a red banner placed below the laurels. The mountain range with peaks and green trees reflect the local geography of the region (Jammu and Kashmir), symbolising strength, high aspirations and reaching for the pinnacle of success. The pine-like trees symbolise growth, longevity and harmony with nature. The lighted candle represents the awakening of the intellect, enlightenment and the spread of learning to society.
