GOVERNMENT COLLEGE, SALOONI (GC SALOONI) The emblem of Government College, Salooni (GC Salooni) features a circle housing a landscape of a mountain range with peaks, the sun, green valleys, a river and pine trees and an open book. The circle is ensconced by a blue circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. The motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘तमसो माँ ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya, 1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead Me to Light’ is written on a blue banner placed below the seal.
