INDIRA GANDHI GOVERNMENT DENTAL COLLEGE, JAMMU (IGGDCJ) The grey oval shaped emblem of Indira Gandhi Government Dental College, Jammu (IGGDCJ) features an abstract depiction of a mountain range with rising sun, a set of dental forceps and  probes and ensconced by an oval border inscribed with the name of the college. The motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः’ (1.4.14, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘May All be Healthy’ is inscribed on a banner placed below the seal. The mountain peaks refer to the Himalayan and Trikuta ranges characteristic of the Jammu region; the glow of sun represents enlightenment, clinical truth and the dispelling of suffering; the molar tooth silhouette in the background framework anchors the institution's core clinical focus on oral health.
