GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE, SOPORE (GDC SOPORE) The emblem of Government Degree College, Sopore (GDC Sopore) features an open book supporting a shooting rocket with a green circle atop and crested by a soaring eagle. The motifs are ensconced by a circle of bold red upward pointing arrows. The calligraphy on the right side in Urdu ‘علم کا مقصد انسان سازی ہے’, which translates to ‘The true purpose of knowledge/education is the building of human character’; the calligraphy on the left side ‘نظر کا مقصد عقابی بلندی ہے’, which translates to ‘The true purpose of vision/intellect is to aim for the soaring heights of an eagle’   of the college is written on both sides of the motifs. The name of the college in Urdu ‘گورنمنٹ ڈگری کالج سوپور ’ is written on a yellow banner placed at the bottom. GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE, HADIPORA, RAFIABAD (GDC HADIPORA) The emblem of Government Degree College, Hadipora, Rafiabad (GDC Hadipora) features a blue shield with light blue outlines and a yellow border inscribed with the name of the college in English and Urdu in Calligraphic Nastaliq style. The shield houses the motifs of an open book supporting a lighted candle and its motto in Arabic ‘مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ’, which translates to ‘From Darkness into Light’. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the book symbolises knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; and the lighted candle represents the selflessness of educators, the ignition of curiosity and the active elimination of societal ignorance.

Below the seal, on a violet banner, the motto of the college in Arabic ‘من الظلمات إلى النور’ is written. The rising sun represents dawn, awakening and the dawn of a new era of knowledge. The sun rays cutting across the sky symbolise the spread of education throughout the community, driving away social and intellectual darkness. Below the circle, on a blue banner, the name of the college is written. These motifs are ensconced by a border inscribed with the name of the college and the Urdu text ‘سبق پھر پڑھ صداقت کا، شجاعت کا، عدالت کا’ by from Allama Iqbal, which translates to ‘Read again the lesson of Truth, of Bravery and of Justice.
