GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE, RAMBAN (GDC RAMBAN) The emblem of Government Degree College, Ramban (GDC Ramban) features a shield housing a mountain range with orange and flowing river supported by an open book and torch with flames, A pair of laurels sup[ort the motifs on the sides. The name, place and its year of establishment of the college are written on a banner placed above the shield. The tagline of the college 'Darkness to Light’ is written on a banner placed on the shield at the bottom. The mountain range and the river refer to the geography of the college; the shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the book denotes knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity;  the flaming torch is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
