SIRDA GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS (SIRDA) The emblem of SIRDA Group of Institutions (SIRDA) features a blue lotus spread housing the motifs of a red rising sun from the mountains supported by flowing water and the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘सत्यमेव जयते’ (3.1.6, Mundaka Upanishad), which translates to ‘Truth Alone Triumphs’. The assemblage is placed inside a red gearwheel,which is inscribed with the name of the group and its tagline ‘The Rising Sun’. The sun represents the illumination of knowledge, energy and the dissipation of ignorance through total education; the mountains symbolise the geographical setting of the campus in the Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh; the water waves represent rhythm, flowing potential and the perpetual journey of life and adaptation; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the gearwheel reflects the institute's emphasis on engineering, technology...
