GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE DARLAGHAT (GDC DARLAGHAT) The emblem of Government Degree College Darlaghat (GDC Darlaghat) features a circle housing a landscape of snow-capped mountains, blue sky, yellow rising sun and green forests supporting an open book. The circle is ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. The motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञानम् सर्वजनहिताय’, which translates to ‘Knowledge is for the Well-being of Everyone’ is inscribed on a yellow banner placed below the seal. The mountain range reflects the physical geography and serene landscape of  Solan district, symbolising higher aspirations, stability and growth in harmony with nature; the sun symbolises enlightenment, the dawn of wisdom and the eradication of the darkness of ignorance through education; and the book represents the core values of learning, academic excellence, dissemination of knowledge and the pursuit of higher education.
