DIVYA COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, JAMMU (DCE JAMMU) The red and green emblem of Divya College of Education, Jammu (DCE Jammu) features circle with a spread of lotus with 12 petals housing a rising sun above flowing water inscribed with the letter ‘ॐ’. The motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya, 1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad), which translates to ‘From Darkness Lead Me to Light’ surmounts the circle. A green banner inscribed with the name and place of the college, supports the seal. A flaming torch is placed at both the ends of the banner. The letter ‘ॐ’ or ‘Om’ represents the highest spiritual truth, cosmic knowledge and the ultimate ultimate source of wisdom. The radiating sun symbolises the dispersion of knowledge, energy and enlightenment to all corners of society.
