GOVERNMENT COLLEGE, LANJ (GC LANJ) The emblem of Government College, Lanj (GC Lanj) features a monogram of the college’s initials ‘GCL’ in Indian National Tricolour with an open book supporting arising sun placed in the counter. The monogram is ensconced by a black circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college in Devanagari and English. A pair of laurels surround the seal with the text ‘Est. 2015’ placed at the bottom. Below this assemblage a banner inscribed with the motto of the college ‘Truth & Honour’ is placed. The book is a universal symbol of knowledge, scholarship and continuous learning; the rising sun symbolises the dawn of wisdom, enlightenment and the removal of the darkness of ignorance through education; and the laurels are symbolising peace, victory, academic excellence and growth.
