The book symbolises as the literal and metaphorical foundation of formal education, academic rigour and continuous learning; the lotus symbolises purity, spiritual growth and overcoming obstacles and it highlights that true learning thrives even amidst worldly challenges; the lamp stands for enlightenment, wisdom, and the removal of ignorance and represents the spread of knowledge radiating outward to society.
