GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE, DHARMARI (GDC DHARMARI) The emblem of Government Degree College, Dharmari (GDC Dharmari) features a circle housing the motifs of a range of mountains with flowing river, a power symbol and the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘विद्या ददाति विनयम्’ (Narayan Pandit, 6, Hitopadesha), which translates to ‘Education Makes one Humble’ is inscribed. The name of the college surmounts the circle and a pair of laurels support it. The mountain range with snow-capped peaks represents the college's actual geographic placement in the scenic foothills of the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. The river flowing from the mountains mirrors the local terrain.; and the laurels are a symbol of victory, academic excellence and honour, celebrating the accomplishments of the students and faculty.
