GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE, RAJOURI (GDC RAJOURI) The emblem of Government Degree College, Rajouri (GDC Rajouri) features an abstract motif of a yellow sun rising from orange mountains ensconced by an orange circular border inscribed with its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya, 1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad), Arabic ‘مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ’ and ‘From Darkness to Light’. The name of the college is written on a yellow banner placed below the seal. The rising sun symbolises life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity.
