JAMMU INSTITUTE OF AYURVEDA AND RESEARCH COLLEGE (JIAR) The emblem of Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research College (JIAR) features a circle housing the motifs of mountain range with pine trees, an open book supporting lotus and a lighted candle. The circle is surmounted by the initials of the college and a pair of green laurels and supported by a banner inscribed with the name of the college. The mountain range refers to the Trikuta and Himalayan mountain ranges native to Jammu; the lit candle symbolises the lamp of education being lit for the community and the illumination of the mind; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the book denotes knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
