GURU TEG BAHADUR COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, KATHUA (GTBCE KATHUA) The emblem of Guru Teg Bahadur College of Education, Kathua (GTBCE Kathua) features an oval housing a glowing traditional lamp supported by an open book and ensconced by an orange oval border inscribed with the name and place of the college. The motto of the college ‘Knowledge and Skills’ is written on a blue banner placed below the oval. The open book represents the widespread dissemination of knowledge, academic curriculum and foundational literacy; the lamp symbolises the light of wisdom dispelling the darkness of ignorance; and the radiant rays bursting outward from the flame represent the spread of enlightenment and values across society through trained teachers.
