GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE, BUDGAM (GDC BUDGAM) The red, green and blue emblem of Government Degree College, Budgam (GDC Budgam) features a nib of a pen with flame atop supported by a leaf of chinar, a lighted candle and an open book along with the inscriptions in Arabic - in left ‘رأس الفضائل العلم’, which translates to ‘The Head (source) of All Virtues is Knowledge’ and in right ‘’, which translates to ‘غاية الفضائل العلم’, which translates to ‘"The Ultimate Pinnacle (Goal) of Virtues is Knowledge’. These are ensconced by a blue border inscribed with the motto of the college 'Knowledge is Fountain Head of Virtues; Virtues the Ultimate Truth of Knowledge’. The name of the college is written on a banner placed below the seal.
