GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE, MARHEEN (GDC MARHEEN) The emblem of Government Degree College, Marheen (GDC Marheen) features an oval housing a ‘shatakona’ or hexagram, an open book, a flame of fire, a pair of golden laurels and Wi-Fi signal icon. The oval is surmounted by the name of the college and supported by a yellow banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘सर्वं ज्ञानं मयि विद्यते’ (‘मयि सर्वमिदं प्रोतं सूत्रे मणिगणा इव’ (Everything rests upon Me, as pearls are strung on a thread), 7.7, Bhagavad-gītā), which translates to ‘All Knowledge Resides Within Me’.
