M.C. KHALSA COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, JAMMU (MCKCE JAMMU) The emblem of M.C. Khalsa College of Education, Jammu (MCKCE Jammu) features a yellow shield with brown outlines housing the motifs of a pair of kirpans and a flaming torch. The shield is supported by a yellow banner inscribed with the motto of the college ‘Discipline & Wisdom’. The shield traditionally represents protection, defence against ignorance and the preservation of values and moral integrity; the crossed kirpans symbolise the balance between temporal (worldly) power and spiritual authority and represent the willingness to stand up for righteousness (Dharma), defend the weak, and cut through falsehood; the torch with flame is a universal symbol for enlightenment, knowledge and truth.
