GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE ANNI AT HARIPUR (GC ANNI) The emblem of Government Degree College Anni at Haripur (GC Anni) features an orange rising sun with radiant rays, a pair of abstract human figures, an open book and the text ‘Estd 2006’, ensconced by a light blue circular border inscribed with the name of the college and its motto in Sanskrit ‘तेजस्विनावधीतमस्तु’ (Shanti mantra, Taittiriya Upanishad), which translates to meaning ‘May our Study be Enlightening’. The rising sun symbolises enlightenment, energy and the dawn of knowledge and it represents the removal of the darkness of ignorance through education and the shining potential of the students; the book is a universal symbol for formal education, academic learning and accessibility to wisdom; and the human figures reflect student empowerment, personal growth and holistic development.
