GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE, PULWAMA (GDC PULWAMA) The emblem of Government Degree College, Pulwama (GDC Pulwama) features a cyan circle housing the motifs of an open book with Arabic text, illuminated by direct radiating beams from sun, ensconced by a red circular border inscribed with the name of the college and three stars. The motto of the college ‘Seek Knowledge’ and in Arabic ‘اُطْلُبُ الْعِلْمَ’ are inscribed on a green banner placed below the seal. The sun symbolises the source of light, clarity and ultimate truth; the book represents scholastic rigour, continuous learning and accessible knowledge; the Arabic texts in the book in Arabic ‘رَبِّ زِدْنِي’ and ‘عِلْمًا’ (My Lord / My Sustainer Increase Me In Knowledge) represent text-based scholarship, literacy and wisdom; the three stars represent excellence, high standards and guidance for students on their professional journey.
