GOVERNMENT WOMEN'S POLYTECHNIC, RANCHI (GWP RANCHI)
GOVERNMENT WOMEN'S POLYTECHNIC, RANCHI (GWP RANCHI) The emblem of Government Women's Polytechnic, Ranchi (GWP Ranchi) features a green three-leaf clover (Triquetra Shape) with its lobe inscribed with the motifs of a desktop computer, a drawing tool and a transmission tower. An orbital pattern is placed at the centre on a red traditional lamp. These are circumscribed by the name and place of the college. A black circle ensconces all the elements. The orbital pattern or atom represents basic sciences, nuclear or atomic structure, and the analytical logic that grounds all technical engineering programmes; the lamp symbolises the enlightenment of knowledge over ignorance, while its upward flame signifies continuous growth, progress and the career advancement of women in technology; and the other motifs represent foundational branches of engineering and modern technology taught at the college.
