GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE, DUDU BASANT GARH (GDC DUDU BASANT GARH) The emblem of Government Degree College, Dudu Basant Garh (GDC Dudu Basant Garh) features an open book supporting a flaming torch and the text ‘GDC DuduBasant Garh’. These elements are ensconced by a pair of golden laurels and crested by three golden stars. The book symbolises continuous learning, formal education, scholarship and the academic journey; the flaming torch represents the light of knowledge, wisdom and the enlightenment that dispels the darkness of ignorance; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, honour, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; and the stars represent central institutional values or core guiding pillars (such as Truth, Virtue and Wisdom).
